Enabling chat on your website
Before you can chat with visitors on your website, you must:
- Create at least one operator
- Specify pages for which chat should be enabled
Creating an operator
Following steps demonstrate how to add one or more operators- Login as a site administrator to your website
- On the main menu, click Custom Applications
- Click Live Online Chat
- Click Add New Operator
- Specify the operator's name, email and password. Operator's name is displayed on the chat screen to the visitors. Email and password are used to log in the operator to chat console.
Specifying pages that are chat enabled
Following steps demonstrate how to select pages that are chat enabled.- Login as a site administrator to your website
- On the main menu, click Custom Applications
- Click Live Online Chat
- Click on Page Configuration tab. This lists every page available on your site with a check box next to it.
- Check the box next to the page for which you need to enable chat
- Click the Save button once done
